I am very honoured to have been asked to give a keynote plenary speech at this year’s HIstorical Novel Society conference, on the Saturday morning.

All conference sessions will take place in the superb facilities of Durham University, and the optional excursions on Friday and Saturday will start and finish at the university.

The conference will open with dinner on the Friday evening (more details to come).

Saturday and Sunday will provide a packed and varied programme of speakers, workshops and panels, including keynote presentations, plus the opportunity to book one-to-ones sessions with agents, publishers and industry professionals.

With input from established authors and leaders of the publishing industry, new and growing historical fiction publishers, top agents, specialists in ebook distribution and promotion, and those providing professional services, there will be something for everyone interested in the genre – both readers and writers, whether mainstream published, indie or aspiring, and, of course, networking opportunities galore.
