Narrators and Narrative Voice Online Masterclass

  • Online 83 Moorgate EC2M 6SA (map)

I’m delighted that London Writers Café have been able to reschedule the Masterclass which was postponed from 24th March, to take place online on 23rd June.

One of the most important questions you can ask of your fiction or creative non-fiction is “Who is telling this story?” And even if your narrator is one of your characters - or you don’t think you’re using a narrator at all - digging into the answer has profound implications for point-of-view, voice, and even structure. Your choices about narrators, in other words, can make all the difference to creating a compelling story.

In this practical workshop we will think about narrators: who they are, how they work, how to make the most of yours, and what might happen if you changed to a different one. You should leave having tried your hands at a few new narrative tools and possibilities, and with a clearer sense of how to make the most of your narrator, whatever or whoever you choose to work with.

Tickets are £25; click through to the London Writers Café website to book.
