Families and How to Survive them

  • Stratford Playhouse 14 Rother Street Stratford-upon-Avon, England, CV37 6LU United Kingdom (map)

How can you write about your family if the world thinks they already know their story? I’ll be joinging Alexander Newley (son of Joan Collins and Anthony Newley) and Vanessa Nicholson (granddaughter of Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson) talk about the challenges of writing about, at times even in spite of, our famous families. Are there stories you ‘can’ and ‘can’t’ tell? What factual and emotional truths must you face? How can you make a story truly your own? And most importantly, how does the legacy affect your own life?
